“My most fervent desire: to help others achieve health.”
Since he was seven years old, and much before he became known to millions of T.V. viewers throughout the Americas, Dr. Misael knew that he wanted to be a doctor.
At 23 years of age, he graduated with the highest honors from the school of medicine in his natal Cuba and immediately began his specialty in pediatrics. In 1991, he came to the United States and in 1996 he revalidated his studies and was practicing medicine as a licensed physician in the state of Florida by 1998, opening his first medical practice in 2002.
After several years as a primary doctor, many of them treating the elderly, he decided to take his practice in a new direction and certified his practice in anti-aging therapies as a way to help his patients from a more preventive and effective perspective.
This is because, according to Dr. Misael, “preventing is better than curing.” And that’s why over a decade ago, he decided to devote time to educating the public on health via media outlets. With his common-sense health advice and down to earth approach, he gained the trust of the millions who watch the famous network prime time show, “Caso Cerrado” led by Dr. Ana María Polo where he participated as the show’s primary medical expert for over 28 seasons over 14 years.
These days, he also leads his own TV show, “Dr. Misael,” which airs weekdays at 3 PM (EST) on Mira TV and on the web, at www.miratv.tv.
